Nursing: LPN - 12 Hour Night Shift

About The Position

The LPN assures the quality and continuity of resident care and supervises the performance of nursing care team members on a designated Neighborhood and shift. This is a part-time position working 12-hour night shifts from 6:45 p.m. to 7:15 a.m., including every other weekend and holiday.

Requirements

Active, unencumbered Pennsylvania LPN license.
High school diploma or GED equivalent.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, point-of-care (POC) systems, and electronic health record systems.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills, including the ability to communicate effectively with residents, families, interdisciplinary teams, and external partners in person and by phone.
Effective verbal and written communication across diverse audiences.
Strong organization and attention to detail, with the ability to maintain accuracy in a fast-paced environment with frequent interruptions.

One year of clinical experience.

Responsibilities

Help provide a safe and pleasant environment and maintain high morale for residents and nursing personnel.
Initiate disciplinary procedures for staff as needed.
Establish and maintain effective interdepartmental working relationships and promote guest relations.
Arrange resident appointment schedules and transportation to other departments or outside appointments.
Observe and evaluate resident symptoms and conditions; ensure families and physicians are updated and physician orders are followed.
Plan, implement, and complete residents’ plans of care, which are written on admission and revised continuously.
Supervise the performance of nursing care team members on the designated Neighborhood and shift.
