About The Position

The LPN is responsible for assuring the quality and continuity of resident care and supervising nursing care team members on a designated Neighborhood and shift. The role includes supporting a safe and pleasant environment and maintaining morale for residents and nursing personnel. The position is part-time, working 12-hour night shifts from 6:45 p.m. to 7:15 a.m., with every other weekend and holiday required. It is located at Messiah Lifeways in Mechanicsburg, Pennsylvania. The stated pay range is $27.00–$32.85 per hour. A $6,000 sign-on bonus is available to those who qualify.

Requirements

Active, unencumbered Pennsylvania LPN license.
High school diploma or GED equivalent.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, point-of-care systems, and electronic health record systems.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills, including effective communication with residents, families, interdisciplinary teams, and external partners in person and by phone.
Effective verbal and written communication across diverse audiences.
Strong organization and attention to detail, including maintaining accuracy and focus in a fast-paced environment with frequent interruptions.

Nice To Haves

One year of clinical experience is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

Cooperate in providing a safe and pleasant environment and maintaining a high level of morale for residents and nursing personnel.
Initiate disciplinary procedures as needed for staff.
Establish and maintain effective interdepartmental working relationships and promote guest relations.
Arrange appointments and transportation for residents to other departments or outside appointments.
Observe and evaluate residents’ symptoms and conditions; ensure families and physicians are updated and physician orders are followed.
Plan, implement, and complete residents’ plans of care, which are written on admission and continuously revised.
Supervise the performance of nursing care team members on a designated Neighborhood and shift.
