About The Position

This role involves providing direct nursing care to residents in a long-term care setting. Requirements

  • Current, unencumbered LPN license.
  • Ability to make independent decisions and exercise sound judgment.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact tactfully with residents, families, and staff.
  • Knowledge of nursing and medical practices, procedures, and long-term care regulations.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment and supervise other personnel as needed.
  • Patience, compassion, and a positive attitude.
  • Ability to lift, push, pull, and transport residents with assistance as needed.

Responsibilities

  • Provide direct nursing care to residents, including medication administration, wound care, and vital sign monitoring.
  • Observe, assess, and report changes in resident condition to physicians and the nursing team.
  • Assist in the development and modification of resident care plans.
  • Document resident care accurately and thoroughly in electronic health records.
  • Collaborate with physicians, nursing staff, and other departments to ensure comprehensive resident care.
  • Participate in facility surveys and quality improvement initiatives.
  • Maintain a safe and therapeutic environment for residents.
