About The Position

The Licensed Practical Nurse provides supportive or restorative care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse or physician, as defined by the North Carolina Board of Nursing. This position is with CarolinaEast OB/GYN. The nurse provides age-appropriate care, communicates effectively with patients, families, physicians, staff, and others through proper channels, and delivers customer service consistent with CarolinaEast’s Standards of Excellence.

Requirements

• Graduate of an approved School of Nursing.
• Hold a current LPN license with the North Carolina State Board of Nursing.
• Have a good basic knowledge of nursing principles and practices.
• Demonstrate the ability to relate effectively to patients, their families, physicians, staff, and others.
• Demonstrate knowledge of growth and development across the life span and the skills needed to provide age-appropriate care.
• Must be CPR certified.

Responsibilities

• Provide supportive or restorative care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse or physician.
• Provide care appropriate to patients’ ages and age-specific needs, following departmental policies and procedures.
• Collect data reflective of each patient’s status.
• Communicate effectively with patients, their families, physicians, staff, and others using proper channels.
• Deliver outstanding customer service that upholds CarolinaEast’s Standards of Excellence.
• Participate in continuing education programs.
