About The Position

The Licensed Practical Nurse provides supportive or restorative care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse or physician, as defined by the North Carolina Board of Nursing. The position is with CarolinaEast OB/GYN and requires nursing knowledge and skills to provide care appropriate to the ages and developmental needs of patients, along with effective communication and customer service.

Requirements

• Graduate of an approved School of Nursing.
• Current LPN license with the North Carolina State Board of Nursing.
• Good basic knowledge of nursing principles and practices.
• Ability to relate effectively to patients, their families, physicians, staff, and others.
• Knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the ages of patients served, including knowledge of growth and development across the lifespan.
• Ability to collect data reflective of patient status and provide care needed for age-specific needs in accordance with department policies and procedures.
• CPR certification.

Responsibilities

• Provide supportive or restorative care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse or physician.
• Collect data reflective of the patient's status and provide care appropriate to the patient's age-specific needs, following department policies and procedures.
• Communicate effectively with patients, their families, physicians, staff, and others using proper channels.
• Deliver outstanding customer service that upholds CarolinaEast's Standards of Excellence.
• Participate in continuing education programs.
