PRN LPN - Skilled Nursing
About The Position
Homestead Village is seeking an experienced Licensed Practical Nurse to work in The Apostle Center for Care, a 58-bed Skilled Nursing Facility. The role is suited to nurses with strong clinical skills, a passion for serving older adults, and the ability to lead a small team of caregivers. Base pay is determined by years licensed. A newly licensed nurse with less than one year of experience starts at $28.00, with applicable shift and weekend differentials. The shift differential is $1.50 for work from 3:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. and $0.75 for work from 11:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m. The weekend differential is $1.25 for Saturdays and Sundays.
Requirements
- Currently licensed in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania as a Licensed Practical Nurse.
- Minimum of three years of experience as an LPN.
- Minimum of three years of supervisory experience.
- Familiarity with skilled nursing facility regulations.
- Ability to work cooperatively with team members and compassionately with residents.
- Ability to actively direct subordinates in a professional and supportive manner.
- Ability to perform the essential job functions.

Responsibilities
- Establish respectful, warm relationships with residents and perform rounds.
- Provide resident care in accordance with nursing practices and policies, and complete required documentation.
- Communicate readily with team members and RN Nurse Leaders.
- Administer medications and perform treatments according to policy, physician orders, and federal and state guidelines.
- Observe and immediately report changes in residents’ conditions.
- Assist in training, supervising, and evaluating assigned staff, and participate in orientation of new employees.
- Assist with campus-wide emergency response as needed.
- Attend required staff meetings and complete monthly Relias education by the due dates.
- Conduct oneself in a positive and professional manner.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
