About The Position

Homestead Village is seeking an experienced Licensed Practical Nurse to work in The Apostle Center for Care, a 58-bed Skilled Nursing Facility. The role is suited to a nurse with strong clinical skills, a passion for serving older adults, and enthusiasm for leading a small team of caregivers. Base pay is determined by years licensed; newly licensed nurses with less than one year of experience start at $28.00. Applicable shift and weekend differentials are offered: $1.50 for the 3:00 p.m.–11:00 p.m. shift, $0.75 for the 11:00 p.m.–7:00 a.m. shift, and $1.25 on Saturdays and Sundays.

Requirements

Current Licensed Practical Nurse license in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.
At least three years of experience as an LPN.
At least three years of supervisory experience.
Ability to work cooperatively with team members and compassionately with residents.
Ability to actively direct subordinates in a professional and supportive manner.
Ability to perform the essential job functions.

Nice To Haves

Previous experience in a skilled nursing facility is preferred.
Familiarity with skilled nursing facility regulations.

Responsibilities

Establish respectful, warm relationships with residents and perform rounds.
Provide resident care in accordance with nursing practices and policies.
Complete required documentation.
Communicate with team members and RN Nurse Leaders.
Administer medications and perform treatments according to policy, physician orders, and federal and state guidelines.
Observe and immediately report changes in residents’ conditions.
Assist with training, supervising, and evaluating assigned staff, and participate in orientation of new employees.
Assist with campus-wide emergency response as needed.
Attend required staff meetings and complete monthly Relias education by the due dates.
Conduct oneself in a positive and professional manner.
Perform other duties as assigned.
