About The Position
Florida Cancer Specialists & Research Institute (FCS) is hiring an LPN to assist physicians and registered nurses in caring for patients. The role may include administering and preparing chemotherapy agents, conducting patient assessments and triage, documenting in medical records, and educating patients and families. FCS provides cancer care through a network of physicians, advanced practice providers, and locations, using clinical research, advanced treatments, and technology. Requirements
- Active Florida LPN license.
- Complete a 30-hour IV certification course, or complete the course within 90 days of employment.
- BLS certification upon hire, or obtain it within 30 days of employment; FCS will provide a BLS course during the first 30 days.
- Fluency in English.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Clear results from the required background screening and drug screening.
- Receive required vaccinations, including the influenza vaccine, unless an exemption is approved.
Nice To Haves
- Experience in IV therapy in a clinic or hospital setting.
- Prior oncology experience.
