About The Position

This position provides licensed nursing services to residents in an assisted living community in accordance with Senior Lifestyle Corporation guidelines and applicable federal and state regulations. The LPN administers medications and may support resident admissions, assessments, care or service plans, discharges, and clinical documentation. The role also involves responding to health concerns and emergencies, coordinating with physicians, family members, and staff, and maintaining confidentiality.

Requirements

• Training from an accredited licensed or vocational nursing program.
• At least 1 year of experience in senior care or a related field.
• Current Licensed Practical Nurse license in the state of practice.
• CPR certification.
• English proficiency sufficient to perform duties, communicate with supervisors and coworkers, and respond to and communicate during emergencies.
• Basic computer skills.
• Ability to work as part of a team and handle multiple tasks safely and effectively.
• High tolerance for working under pressure and handling critical situations calmly and professionally.

Responsibilities

• Administer medications to residents in compliance with federal and state regulations and company guidelines.
• May conduct admissions of new residents, including admission assessments and documentation.
• Complete acute and long-term care plans or service plans.
• May track clinical systems, such as wounds or infection control, under the direction of the director.
• Provide general consultation about health-related concerns within the community.
• Notify physicians and/or family members of changes in residents’ health and document appropriately.
• Respond quickly to emergencies.
• Maintain close communication with departments and staff members.
• Provide educational meetings for residents and staff.
• Maintain confidentiality of residents’ and prospective residents’ information.
• May complete discharges, assessments, and clinical documentation as needed.
