LPN - Assisted Living Part-Time
About The Position
Westminster Communities of Florida is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to work in Assisted Living at Westminster Towers in downtown Orlando. The role provides direct nursing care to residents and supervises day-to-day nursing activities performed by nursing assistants, in accordance with state and federal standards. The schedule is Sunday through Saturday, 11:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m. The posting describes the position as both part-time in its title and full-time in the schedule; the stated full-time schedule is reflected here as well. Requirements
- Current Florida Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license.
- CPR certification.
- One year of experience in a skilled nursing facility or medically related area.

- Bachelor’s degree in healthcare administration or a related field preferred.
Responsibilities
- Comply with applicable rules, policies, standards, and guidelines related to employment with Westminster Services and its communities.
- Assist with evaluating residents’ needs.
- Assist with planning resident care based on physician orders.
- Implement resident care based on physician orders, evaluate care, and communicate with physicians for order updates as needed.
- Ensure residents receive medication at the time prescribed by the physician’s order.
- Monitor blood glucose, temperature, and blood pressure.
- Assist residents with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, eating, transferring, ambulating, and toileting, as well as other resident needs.
- Ensure nursing assistants (CNAs) follow physician orders.
- Supervise day-to-day nursing activities performed by nursing assistants.
