About The Position

Westminster Communities of Bradenton is seeking Licensed Practical Nurses to provide direct nursing care to Assisted Living residents and supervise nursing assistants’ day-to-day nursing activities in accordance with applicable state and federal standards. The community is located along the Manatee River near historic downtown Bradenton and is Joint Commission accredited. It has received U.S. News & World Report Best Nursing Homes honors for Rehabilitation 2026 and Long-Term Care 2026. The role is part-time, with 8-hour shifts available across all shifts: 7 a.m.–3 p.m., 3 p.m.–11 p.m., and 11 p.m.–7 a.m. Part-time benefits include paid time off. Requirements

Hold a current Licensed Practical Nurse license in the State of Florida.
Be CPR certified.

Nice To Haves

One year of long-term care experience is desirable.
Medical-surgical or home health experience is helpful.
Experience working with handicapped or developmentally disabled adults is helpful.

Responsibilities

Assist with evaluating residents’ needs.
Assist with planning resident care based on physician orders.
Implement resident care based on physician orders, evaluate the care, and communicate with the physician about order updates as needed.
Ensure residents receive medications at the times prescribed by physician orders.
Monitor blood glucose, temperature, and blood pressure.
Assist residents with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, eating, transfers, ambulation, and toileting.
Ensure certified nursing assistants follow physician orders.
Supervise nursing assistants’ day-to-day nursing activities in accordance with state and federal standards.
