About The Position

Covenant Living is seeking Certified Nursing Assistants to provide direct daily care to residents and support their quality of life in a supportive, faith-based senior living community. This part-time position serves residents in assisted living and may include cross-training in assisted living. The CNA reports directly to the nurse manager and may also take direction from licensed nurses on duty or other supervisory staff.

The role includes assisting residents with basic personal care according to procedures and daily assignments, including bathing, dressing, dental hygiene, toileting, grooming, feeding, and transportation or transfers. The CNA also helps with activities, light housekeeping, laundry, and dining services. The schedule includes both AM and PM shifts, with six-hour shifts arranged across a two-week pay period.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Completion of an approved Nursing Assistant program in the state and passing its test.
• Listed on the State Health Nursing Assistant Registry.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct care to residents on a daily basis.
• Assist residents with bathing, dressing, dental hygiene, toileting, grooming, feeding, transportation, and transfers.
• Assist with activities, light housekeeping, laundry, and dining services.
• Maintain resident rooms in a clean and orderly manner, including changing linens, making beds, putting away clothing and personal effects, tidying bedside tables, shelves, and closets, and cleaning bathrooms.
• Assist with resident laundry, ensuring clothes are marked, clean, mended, ironed, and put away.
• Notify a supervisor of residents' clothing needs as they arise.
• Prepare residents for meals, assist with serving meals, and help feed residents.
