CNA - Assisted Living Part Time PM
About The Position
Covenant Living is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) for a part-time afternoon/evening position in assisted living, with a scheduled shift of 2:30 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. The role provides daily direct care to residents and helps support their quality of life in a supportive, faith-based senior living community. The CNA reports directly to the nurse manager and may also take direction from licensed nurses on duty or other supervisory staff. The position may be cross-trained in Assisted Living and may also assist with activities, light housekeeping, laundry, and dining services. The CNA helps residents with basic personal care according to procedures and daily assignments. Duties include bathing, dressing, dental hygiene, toileting, grooming, feeding, and transportation or transfers. The CNA also maintains resident rooms in a clean and orderly manner, assists with residents’ laundry, reports clothing needs to a supervisor, and prepares residents for meals, serves meals, and assists with feeding.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Completion of an approved Nursing Assistant program in the state and passing its test.
- Listed on the State’s Health Nursing Assistant Registry.
Responsibilities
- Provide direct daily care to residents.
- Assist residents with bathing, dressing, dental hygiene, toileting, grooming, feeding, and transportation or transfers according to procedures and daily assignments.
- Assist with activities, light housekeeping, laundry, and dining services.
- Keep resident rooms clean and orderly, including changing linens, making beds, putting away clothing and personal effects, tidying bedside tables, shelves, and closets, and cleaning bathrooms.
- Assist with resident laundry, ensuring clothes are marked, clean, mended, ironed, and put away.
- Notify a supervisor of residents’ clothing needs as they arise.
- Prepare residents for meals, assist with serving meals, and help feed residents.
- Follow direction from the nurse manager, licensed nurses on duty, or other supervisory staff.
