About The Position
Sprenger Health Care is a third-generation developer, owner, and operator of senior living communities and services in Ohio and South Carolina. Its communities provide long-term nursing care, assisted and independent living, memory care, hospice, home care, respite care, and short-term post-acute rehabilitation. The LPN Unit Manager follows nursing practice standards and facility policies, explains policies and procedures to care staff and others, supervises and evaluates direct resident care, and initiates corrective action as needed. The role may also function as a direct charge nurse and provides clinical supervision to nursing assistants and charge nurses responsible for resident care. The position is located at SHC of Port Royal in Port Royal, South Carolina. Requirements
- Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN).
Responsibilities
- Follow established standards of nursing practice and implement facility policies and procedures.
- Interpret existing policies and procedures for nursing assistants, restorative personnel, residents, families, and physicians.
- Supervise and evaluate all direct resident care and initiate corrective action as necessary.
- Function as a direct charge nurse at times or as needed.
- Provide clinical supervision of nursing assistants and charge nurses responsible for providing direct resident care.
