About The Position

Gateway Rehab Center (GRC) is seeking a PRN LPN or RN for its Washington, Pennsylvania location. The schedule includes 3 p.m.–11 p.m. and 7 p.m.–11 p.m. shifts. Nurses provide direct patient care, including administering medications and carrying out therapeutic treatments. The role also involves documenting care, participating in nursing-care planning and evaluation, responding to crises and emergencies, providing admission phone triage, coordinating with GRC departments, and educating patients about health.

Requirements

• LPN or RN licensure.
• CPR certification.
• Be skilled and physically able to perform necessary medical interventions when needed.
• Demonstrate good judgment, decision-making, and leadership skills necessary to take responsibility for nursing-related patient care.
• Pass a Pennsylvania criminal background check.
• Obtain child abuse and FBI clearances.
• Pass a drug test and two-step TB test.
• Have a valid driver’s license with a favorable driving record.
• Be flexible regarding the work schedule.

Nice To Haves

• Two years of nursing experience.
• Critical care experience.

Responsibilities

• Administer medications.
• Carry out prescribed therapeutic treatments.
• Document nursing observations and patient care rendered.
• Participate in the planning, implementation, and evaluation of nursing care.
• Intervene in crises and other emergency situations.
• Provide admission phone triage.
• Coordinate with GRC departments as appropriate.
• Provide patient health education.
• Complete employee health duties.
• Intervene in crises for all GRC departments during off hours.
