About The Position

Gateway Rehab Center is seeking a PRN LPN or RN for its Washington, Pennsylvania location. Nurses provide direct patient nursing care, including medication administration and therapeutic treatments. The schedule includes 3 p.m.–11 p.m. and 7 p.m.–11 p.m. shifts. The work takes place in a substance use disorder treatment center.

Requirements

LPN or RN licensure.
CPR certification.
Be skilled and physically able to perform necessary medical interventions when needed.
Demonstrate good judgment, decision-making, and leadership skills necessary to take responsibility for nursing-related patient care.
Pass a Pennsylvania criminal background check.
Obtain Child Abuse and FBI clearances.
Pass a drug test.
Complete a two-step TB test.
Have a valid driver’s license with a favorable driving record.

Nice To Haves

Two years of nursing experience.
Critical care experience.

Responsibilities

Administer medications.
Carry out prescribed therapeutic treatments.
Document nursing observations and patient care rendered.
Participate in planning, implementing, and evaluating nursing care.
Intervene in crises and emergency situations and provide admission phone triage.
Coordinate with all GRC departments as appropriate.
Provide patient health education.
Complete employee health duties.
Intervene in crises for all GRC departments during off hours.
