About The Position
Hillsdale Hospital is hiring an LPN or Registered Nurse for its McGuire & MacRitchie Skilled Nursing Facility. The role provides direct nursing care by evaluating patients’ and residents’ health, implementing care plans with patients, families, and the care team, administering prescribed treatments and medications, and documenting care. The facility is recognized as a Best Nursing Home by U.S. News & World Report, a distinction earned by 19% of skilled nursing facilities nationwide. The schedule is 6:45 a.m. to 7:15 p.m., three 12-hour shifts per week, including every other weekend. Listed premiums include $2.00 per hour for second shift, an additional $2.00 per hour for weekends, and an additional $1.30 per hour in long-term care direct-care worker uplift pay.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent from an accredited institution.
- Valid Michigan LPN or RN license.
- BLS certification, ACLS, and TEAM required within one year; these are available through Hillsdale Hospital.
Responsibilities
- Evaluate patients’ and residents’ health and implement plans of care in collaboration with the patient, family, and care team.
- Administer treatments, medications, and IV solutions according to physicians’ orders.
- Observe and evaluate symptoms and reactions to treatment, and initiate corrective action when needed.
- Document and maintain records and reports regarding nursing care provided.
