LPN Ambulatory - Rheumatology
About The Position
Join Cleveland Clinic Akron General's Stow Health and Wellness Center, a patient-friendly facility offering primary care, emergency care, specialty services, and a medically based fitness program. The LPN assists fellow caregivers in delivering high-quality care to a diverse patient population and can develop nursing skills through hands-on experience and educational resources within the Cleveland Clinic system. This caregiver works Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. The main location is Stow, with floating to the Tallmadge, Bath, POB, and Green facilities about once per month.
Requirements
- Graduate of an approved school of Practical Nursing.
- Current Ohio license as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN).
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA).
Nice To Haves
- One year of patient care experience.
Responsibilities
- Provide patient care activities under the direction of an RN and/or physician.
- Collect and document objective and subjective patient data and observations.
- Complete nursing assessments and report all data.
- Implement the current nursing care plan, medications, or treatments and communicate patients’ responses.
- Observe patients for adverse reactions to medications or treatments.
- Perform routine laboratory tests.
- Educate patients and family members.
