About The Position

Join Cleveland Clinic as an LPN and work alongside caregivers to provide patient-first healthcare. In this role, you will assist with exceptional care for a diverse patient population while developing your nursing skills through hands-on experience and educational resources. Patient care is provided under the direction of an RN and/or physician. The position requires a variable schedule, including every other weekend; the posting lists schedules of 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. or 7:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.

Requirements

• Graduate of an approved school of Practical Nursing.
• Current Ohio license as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN).
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA).

Nice To Haves

• One year of patient care experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient care activities under the direction of an RN and/or physician.
• Collect and document objective and subjective patient data and observations.
• Complete nursing assessments and report all data.
• Implement the current nursing care plan, medications, or treatments and communicate patients’ responses.
• Observe patients for adverse reactions to medications or treatments.
• Perform routine laboratory tests.
• Educate patients and family members.
