About The Position
The Ambulatory Clinical Tech works in a five-room urgent care clinic serving patients and families of all ages, from pediatric to geriatric, with needs ranging from lower to higher acuity. The clinic offers on-site point-of-care laboratory testing and radiology, and provides minor procedures such as laceration repair, suture removal, and fracture care, as well as care for complications of underlying conditions such as asthma. Under the supervision of a Registered Nurse (RN) or Provider, the role supports quality patient care by performing basic skills according to department guidelines, communicating observations to the healthcare team, and collecting and reporting patient and family needs. Responsibilities also include accurate, timely documentation. The clinic describes its team as small and intimate, with an emphasis on teamwork and flexibility to meet patient needs.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross is required within 90 days.
Nice To Haves
- Two years of relevant experience in insurance billing, access management, patient financial services, electronic health records, lab service support, or another related area.
- Two years of clinical care experience.
Responsibilities
- Perform basic clinical skills according to department guidelines under the supervision of an RN or Provider.
- Communicate observations to members of the healthcare team.
- Collect and report patients’ and families’ physiological, psychological, sociocultural, and spiritual needs in coordination with and as delineated by the RN or Provider.
- Complete required documentation accurately and in a timely manner.
