About The Position

The Licensed Practical Nurse supports urgent care operations and provides compassionate patient care. The role is located at 2745 West Ridge Road, Rochester, NY 14626, and is scheduled for 40 hours per week. The schedule is Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 9 p.m., and Saturday and Sunday, 8:30 a.m. to 8 p.m.

The nurse promotes and restores patients’ health by completing the nursing process, collaborating with physicians and multidisciplinary team members, performing treatment procedures, and providing physical, educational, and emotional support to patients and their families. The role also includes supervising assigned team members, administering medication, communicating reports, maintaining computerized medical records, and keeping clinical areas and exam rooms supplied and ready.

The position requires graduation from an accredited School of Practical Nursing or an ASN/BSN in Nursing, as well as current New York State licensure as a Licensed Practical Nurse. One year of experience is preferred. Required certifications are BLS from the American Heart Association and NYS LPN licensure.

This moderate, patient-facing clinical role involves continual movement, including standing, walking, lifting 20–50 pounds, pushing and pulling medical equipment, and assisting with patient positioning. It also involves frequent bending, twisting, reaching, and fine motor tasks in busy or confined clinical environments. High sensory acuity, decision-making under pressure, responding to emergencies, and sustained focus are required. Environmental exposures may include infectious agents, bodily fluids, chemicals, and radiation; TB testing, mask-fit testing, and physical exams are common requirements. The posted pay range is $26.52–$32.64. Individual rates may vary based on position details and FTE, experience, qualifications, specialty, internal equity, location, and contracts. The employer is Rochester Regional Health and is an equal opportunity employer.

Requirements

• Graduate from an accredited School of Practical Nursing or hold an ASN/BSN in Nursing.
• Current New York State licensure as a Licensed Practical Nurse.
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification from the American Heart Association.
• Meet the physical and sensory demands of a moderate, patient-facing clinical role, including continual movement, lifting 20–50 pounds, pushing and pulling medical equipment, assisting with patient positioning, and frequent bending, twisting, reaching, and fine motor tasks.
• Maintain focus and make decisions under pressure, including responding to emergencies.
