Part-Time LPC, Children & Adolescents (Remote, New Jersey)
About The Position
Handspring is hiring a part-time Licensed Professional Counselor to provide remote pediatric and young-adult behavioral health care in New Jersey. The role provides psychotherapy to children ages 8–17 and young adults ages 18 and older, along with parent training and support. Therapists use CBT and other evidence-based practices and maintain a fixed weekly schedule with at least eight recurring telehealth sessions. The clinician also participates in weekly consultations and peer-led collaborative huddles, completes documentation, and coordinates with pediatricians, school counselors, and families as needed. The clinician chooses their caseload, with reduced part-time availability of 8–11 clients per week or regular part-time availability of 12 or more clients per week. Handspring provides a guaranteed monthly income floor, malpractice coverage, paid documentation and consultation time, scheduling support, and ongoing professional development. The position is non-exclusive, allowing clinicians to maintain a private practice or other commitments.
Requirements
- Hold an active, independent LPC license in New Jersey.
- Have experience working with children, teens, young adults, and families using evidence-based treatments.
- Be comfortable with Zoom, EHR systems, and collaboration tools.
- Not be opted out of Medicare.
- Be willing to become cross-licensed in additional states.
- Commit to a fixed weekly schedule of at least eight recurring client sessions.
Responsibilities
