About The Position

Handspring is hiring a part-time, fully remote Licensed Clinical Social Worker to provide pediatric behavioral health care in California. The position serves children ages 8–17, young adults 18 and older, and their families through weekly psychotherapy, parent training, and support. Therapists use CBT and other evidence-based practices and maintain a fixed weekly telehealth schedule of at least eight recurring client sessions. This W-2 role offers reduced part-time (8–11 clients per week) and regular part-time (12 or more clients per week) options. Both include a guaranteed monthly pay floor, paid documentation and consultation time, malpractice coverage, and paid sick time. The clinician participates in weekly consultations and peer-led huddles, completes clinical documentation, and coordinates with pediatricians, school counselors, and families as needed. Handspring handles scheduling, billing, and insurance, and permits clinicians to maintain a private practice or other commitments.

Requirements

Hold an active, independent LCSW license in California.
Have experience working with children, teens, young adults, and families using evidence-based treatments.
Be comfortable with Zoom, EHR systems, and collaboration tools.
Not be opted out of Medicare.
Be willing to be cross-licensed in additional states.
Commit to a fixed weekly schedule of at least eight recurring client sessions.

Responsibilities

Provide weekly psychotherapy using CBT and other evidence-based practices to children ages 8–17 and young adults ages 18 and older.
Provide parent training and support.
Maintain a fixed weekly telehealth schedule with at least eight recurring client sessions.
Participate in weekly consultations and peer-led collaborative huddles.
Complete clinical documentation in a timely manner.
Coordinate with clients’ pediatricians, school counselors, and families as needed.
