Thriveworks is hiring provisionally licensed individuals pursuing Virginia licensure as a Licensed Professional Counselor to provide a mix of telehealth and face-to-face mental health sessions in Richmond, Virginia. Residents must be approved by the board, live in Virginia, and reside within 45 minutes of the office. The position begins with an in-office probationary period, followed by a hybrid schedule of 50% in-office and 50% remote work. Clinicians should be available for at least 25 client sessions and 30 hours per week, and be open to treating a range of clients, including couples and children. A competitive ramp stipend may be available to clinicians offering 30 or more hours of weekly availability. Thriveworks is a clinician-led mental health care company founded in 2008. It provides administrative support—including credentialing, billing, scheduling, and marketing—so clinicians can focus on client care. The company provides paid orientation and training and says clinicians will build a full caseload within 90 days of credentialing. Scheduling is available seven days a week from 7 a.m. to 10 p.m. Eastern Time. Compensation is up to $53,300, based on licensure type, session volume, and bonus opportunities. This is a W-2 employee position. Full-time clinicians are eligible for employer-sponsored benefits, and the role includes clinical supervision, clinical support, case consultations, and access to an online and in-person community of licensed providers. Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States; employment visa sponsorship is not available.
