About The Position

The LP Delivery Driver is responsible for outside sales of propane gas to residential, commercial, and farm accounts, from initial contact through delivery. The role may include setting tanks and providing service. The driver delivers propane safely, efficiently, and punctually, provides customer service and sales support, maintains required records, and performs installations, removals, and service as needed. The position also provides backup to the Energy department as needed.

Requirements

• Maintain an acceptable driving record.
• Be able to obtain a Class A or B CDL with Hazmat and Tanker endorsements.
• Have proficient computer skills.
• Have proficient verbal and written communication skills.
• Be detail-oriented and able to prioritize.
• Have a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Be able to walk 1 to 5 miles, climb steps or ladders, and lift up to 75 pounds.
• Be able to bend and climb in and out of the truck.

Nice To Haves

• Outside sales experience.
• Knowledge of the sales territory.

Responsibilities

• Deliver propane to customer locations efficiently, punctually, and safely.
• Provide exceptional customer service by sharing service information and answering inquiries during customer interactions.
• Build the customer base within the sales territory using sales techniques, including cold-call prospecting.
• Prepare and maintain records in accordance with regulations and company procedures.
• Operate the truck according to established safety procedures.
• Perform installations, removals, and service as needed.
• Provide backup to the Energy department as needed.
