About The Position

The LP Delivery Driver sells and delivers propane to residential, commercial, and farm accounts, managing customer interactions from initial contact through delivery. The role may also include setting tanks and providing service. The driver operates a truck safely, maintains required records, and may provide backup support to the Energy department.

Requirements

• Acceptable driving record.
• Ability to obtain a Class A or B CDL with Hazmat and Tanker endorsements.
• Proficient computer skills.
• Proficient verbal and written communication skills.
• Detail oriented, with the ability to prioritize.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to walk 1 to 5 miles, climb steps or ladders, lift up to 75 pounds, and bend and climb in and out of the truck.

Nice To Haves

• Outside sales experience and knowledge of the territory.

Responsibilities

• Deliver propane to customer locations efficiently, punctually, and safely.
• Provide customer service during daily interactions by sharing service information and answering inquiries.
• Build the customer base within the sales territory using sales techniques, including cold-call prospecting.
• Prepare and maintain records in accordance with regulations and company procedures.
• Operate the truck according to established safety procedures.
• Perform installation, removal, and service as needed.
• Provide backup to the Energy department as needed.
