About The Position

The Lot Porter helps ensure customer satisfaction by keeping vehicles and the dealership lot clean and organized. The role oversees vehicle deliveries to the dealership, arranges vehicles on delivery or after sale to make effective use of lot space, and services cars to protect them from deterioration and maintain a clean appearance. The ideal candidate is energetic, comfortable in a fast-paced environment, and holds a valid driver’s license. Strong communication, customer service, organizational, and problem-solving skills, along with a positive attitude, are important. Candidates should be able to drive manual and automatic vehicles and safely maneuver in tight spaces. Additional duties may be required; the listed duties are not exhaustive.

Requirements

Unrestricted driver’s license and clean driving record.
Able to safely operate motor vehicles in tight and small spaces.
Professional and dependable.
Able to work independently with minimal supervision.
Basic computer and internet skills.
High energy level and willingness to work in a fast-paced environment.
Strong communication and customer service skills.
Strong organizational and problem-solving skills and a positive attitude.

Ability to drive both automatic and standard-transmission vehicles.

Responsibilities

Inspect vehicles upon delivery for damage, assign stock control numbers, and catalog and store keys.
Service vehicles with gas, oil, and water.
Move sold vehicles to maximize space and keep the lot in order.
Deliver sold vehicles.
Complete required documentation in compliance with regulations and standards.
Maintain the lot’s appearance by cleaning driveways and sidewalks and removing snow and debris as necessary.
Follow safety and security procedures.
Perform other duties as assigned.
