About The Position

Camping World is seeking a Lot Porter to provide driving and support services as part of its service team. The role involves moving and preparing recreational vehicles, maintaining the lot and inventory, documenting problems, and keeping units and equipment secure and in proper working order. The porter also helps maintain a safe, clean, and professional environment for customers and coworkers.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
Ability to use a yard tractor and/or forklift.
Ability to drive an RV.
Experience using generators and operating slide-outs.
Ability to repair small items and identify problem units.
Valid driver's license required.
May lift up to 25 lbs and/or move up to 50 lbs with assistive devices.
Prolonged periods of standing, stooping, crawling, and bending.
Exposure to heights and hazards related to working with electrical and welding equipment.
Work may involve heat, cold, humidity, noise, dust, and wetness.

Nice To Haves

Towing experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Park and move RV units in a timely fashion.
Install and remove window prices on recreational vehicles as instructed.
Maintain weekly lot washes and ensure units and aisles are clean.
Write work orders, track problems, and ensure units are in proper working order.
Sweep, pick up trash and debris, empty garbage cans, and keep the lot clean and professional in appearance.
Keep units and equipment secure from weather.
Maintain physical inventory on a weekly basis.
Ensure slide-outs are in, jacks and steps are down, select awnings are opened, and doors are unlocked.
Maintain a safe and clean work area for customers and coworkers.
