About The Position

The Lot Porter helps ensure customer satisfaction by keeping vehicles and the dealership lot clean and organized. The role oversees vehicle deliveries, arranges vehicles on the lot to make effective use of space, and services cars to help prevent deterioration and maintain their appearance. The position requires a high-energy, positive, dependable person who can work in a fast-paced environment, communicate professionally, and maneuver vehicles safely in tight spaces. Additional duties may be required as part of the role.

Requirements

• Unrestricted driver’s license and clean driving record.
• Ability to safely operate motor vehicles in tight and small spaces.
• Professional and dependable.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Basic computer and internet skills.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
• Positive attitude and high energy level; willingness to work in a fast-paced environment.

• Ability to drive both automatic and standard-transmission vehicles.

Responsibilities

• Inspect delivered vehicles for damage, assign stock control numbers, and catalog and store keys.
• Service vehicles with gas, oil, and water.
• Move sold vehicles to maximize lot space and keep the lot organized.
• Deliver sold vehicles.
• Complete required documentation in compliance with regulations and standards.
• Maintain the lot’s appearance by cleaning driveways and sidewalks and removing snow and debris as necessary.
• Follow safety and security procedures.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
