About The Position

We are currently seeking experienced Loss Mitigation Representatives to support a high-volume mortgage servicing team. This is a fully remote, contract opportunity with strong potential for extension or conversion based on performance and business needs. In this role, you will serve as a Single Point of Contact (SPOC) for borrowers in the early stages of delinquency. You will support customers through the loss mitigation process, helping them understand repayment options, navigate available programs, and manage their accounts. This role starts with a mix of administrative support and customer service, with progression into a more call-driven environment focused on repayment plan support.

Requirements

  • Experience in loss mitigation, mortgage collections, or mortgage customer service
  • Strong background in a call center environment
  • Ability to manage sensitive conversations with professionalism and care
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills

Nice To Haves

  • Experience working as a Single Point of Contact (SPOC) preferred
  • Debt collections experience within a financial services or banking environment
  • Familiarity with mortgage servicing processes and regulations

Responsibilities

  • Act as the Single Point of Contact (SPOC) for assigned borrowers
  • Handle inbound and outbound calls regarding mortgage accounts and delinquency status
  • Assist customers with repayment plans and loss mitigation options
  • Provide clear explanations of programs, next steps, and account updates
  • Manage and respond to customer inquiries via phone and written communication
  • Support collections-related issues with professionalism and empathy
  • Gather and update required documentation and case files
  • Process payments and educate customers on financial implications
  • Perform skip tracing and update borrower contact information
