About The Position

Texell Credit Union, voted one of the best credit unions to work for in the nation by "American Banker" and The Credit Union Journal, is seeking a Collections Representative. This role is an opportunity to join a team that values its employees and offers an excellent benefits package. The position is full-time and in-office. As a Collector, you will preserve the credit union’s assets by collecting on delinquent accounts, successfully collecting delinquent debt in all stages (early, late, repossessions), and making outbound calls on unsecured loans and a credit card portfolio. You will also identify first payment defaults on unsecured loans and the issues preventing timely payments, share responsibility for collecting on secured debt, assist other staff with processing repossessed collateral, and maintain a positive, team-oriented attitude. Texell is a fast-paced environment and is not for everyone.

Requirements

High School Graduate or equivalent
Stable work history
Pertinent collections experience
Strong analytical, negotiation and problem-solving skills
Strong decision-making skills and intuitive natured to think on your feet
Knowledge of MS Office Suite, including Word and Excel
Ability to work in multiple systems at one time
Ability to work flexible hours as needed
Must have open availability to work shifts between M-F. Sat. is rare but you may be asked to work the occasional Sat.

Responsibilities
