About The Position

Single Grain is seeking an AI-native content operator to run agent workflows that research, draft, and refresh long-form content on singlegrain.com at scale. The role combines writing and editing with workflow design, AEO and on-page SEO, and responsibility for the accuracy and quality of every deliverable. The writer is expected to use AI tools for much of the production work, applying human judgment to structure, verification, and quality control while continually measuring and reducing hands-on time.

The position works within Single Grain's AEO/SEO Content OS, using search and visibility data from Google Search Console and ClickFlow. The writer will publish long-form pieces of 1,500 words or more, improve existing pages for search and AI-answer visibility, select refresh priorities using search data, and build batch-refresh workflows that teammates can use. The posting sets increasing production targets for new content and refreshes over the first 12 months, with quality, accuracy, and visibility as key measures of success.

Applicants should provide evidence of their AI tools and workflows, shipped long-form work, measurable improvements in editing and fact-checking time, and hands-on AEO work. The hiring process includes seven email questions and, for candidates who advance, a paid live trial of up to four hours followed by a 20-minute walkthrough. Trial work will not be published. The role is remote, anywhere. Compensation will be discussed in the first call.

Requirements

• Demonstrated everyday use of AI tools and agent workflows for content research, drafting, editing, and refreshing.
• Ability to produce accurate, publish-ready long-form content at high volume.
• Hands-on AEO and on-page SEO experience, including creating pages structured to be cited in AI answers.
• Ability to verify claims and sources and reject or revise inaccurate or unsubstantiated AI-generated content.
• Ability to demonstrate a working workflow, provide proof links to shipped work, and explain the division of work between the applicant and AI.
• Experience with long-form content; video, social, or short copy as the applicant's only experience is not sufficient.
• Provide specific, self-authored responses to the application questions, with examples and numbers, and reply within about 48 hours if invited to answer.

Nice To Haves

• Experience using Google Search Console and ClickFlow for search and visibility data.

Responsibilities

• Refresh existing singlegrain.com posts for AEO and SEO, including answer-first leads, FAQ blocks, schema-ready structure, headings, internal links, and metadata.
• Verify claims, remove or rewrite anything that cannot be verified, and reject AI drafts that are not ready to publish.
• Use search data to choose which posts to refresh and batch the work.
• Build a batch-refresh workflow that a teammate can use.
• Measure hands-on time and reduce editing and fact-checking time while maintaining quality and accuracy.
