About The Position

As a Logistics Traffic Flow Analyst at Valeo, you will contribute to the design, implementation, and improvement of internal and external material flows. You will analyze material flows, inventory, and scheduling processes to accelerate physical flows; support the development or improvement of tools, equipment, packaging, transportation and storage processes, and flow organization; and provide technical support for plant operations such as layouts, new projects, and value stream analysis. You will troubleshoot issues, design flow and transportation processes within schedule and budget parameters, monitor new methods, and support quality, safety, and Valeo Production System (VPS) activities. You will also contribute to external-flow budgets and cost-reduction plans. This includes coordinating carrier negotiations with Purchasing, proposing supplier logistics protocols with Supply Chain schedulers and Purchasing, maintaining regular contact with carriers, providing transportation data and cost analyses, measuring inbound and outbound transportation costs, and proposing cost-reduction actions. To maintain production-flow continuity, you will communicate accurate information to carrier contacts, coordinate responses to crises with material and production control and internal teams, track action plans, and escalate issues when needed. You will ensure that each carrier account has a trained backup and that coverage and carrier notifications are arranged during absences. This is a regular, permanent, full-time role in a multisite setting, with occasional travel.

Requirements

Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, or a related field, or relevant experience in lieu of a formal degree.
At least 3 years of experience in Supply Chain and/or Logistics.
Knowledge of supplier delivery schedules, lead times, and transportation planning.
Ability to travel occasionally for a multisite role.

Responsibilities

Analyze internal material flows and scheduling processes to accelerate physical flows.
Support the design, development, and improvement of tools, equipment, packaging, and flow organization for an assigned area.
Provide technical support for plant operations, including layouts, new projects, and value stream analysis.
Troubleshoot problems and implement solutions to maintain production-flow continuity.
Design flow processes within schedule and budget parameters; monitor and debug new methods and procedures.
Support activities to achieve and maintain the Quality System and Valeo 5000.
Participate in and support implementation of the Valeo Production System (VPS).
Analyze external material, inventory, and scheduling flows to accelerate physical flows.
Propose, evaluate, direct the design, development, and improvement of tools, equipment, and transportation or storage processes for an assigned area.
Implement, control, and manage visual reorder and/or pull-flow systems.
Design transportation processes within timeframe and budget parameters.
Support activities to achieve and maintain quality and safety standards.
Contribute to external-flow budgets and cost-reduction plans.
Participate in carrier negotiations in coordination with Purchasing.
Propose logistics protocols with suppliers in cooperation with Supply Chain schedulers and Purchasing.
Meet with carrier contacts regularly, at least once per quarter.
Provide transportation indicators and analysis for cost follow-up and budget building.
Measure transportation costs for each inbound and outbound flow and propose cost-reduction action plans.
Communicate complete, precise, and reliable information to carrier contacts, adapting communication to the contact.
Alert material and production control during crises, help define priorities with carriers and internal teams, follow associated action plans, and escalate when necessary.
Ensure each carrier has a backup, train backups to manage carrier accounts, and arrange account coverage and advance carrier notification during absences.
