Logistics Traffic Flow Analyst

Valeo•Hamilton, OH

About The Position

As a Logistics Traffic Flow Analyst at Valeo, you will contribute to designing, implementing, and improving internal and external material flows. The role analyzes material flows, inventory, and scheduling processes to accelerate physical flows, and supports the development or improvement of tools, equipment, packaging, transportation and storage processes, and flow organization for an assigned area. You will provide technical support for plant operations such as layouts, new projects, and value stream analysis; design flow and transportation processes within schedules, budgets, and timeframes; monitor and debug new methods and procedures; and troubleshoot problems to maintain continuity of production flows. You will support the Quality System, Valeo 5000, safety standards, and implementation of the Valeo Production System (VPS). For external flows, you will implement and manage visual reorder or pull-flow systems, contribute to cost and budget reduction plans, coordinate carrier negotiations with Purchasing, and propose logistics protocols with Supply Chain schedulers and Purchasing. You will meet carrier contacts regularly, provide transportation indicators and cost analysis, measure inbound and outbound transportation costs, and propose cost-reduction action plans. The position also requires reliable, regular communication with carrier contacts and coordination during crises. You will alert material and production control, help define priorities with carriers and internal teams, track action plans, and escalate when necessary. You will ensure each carrier account has a trained backup and that coverage and carrier notifications are arranged during absences. This is a multisite role with occasional travel.
