About The Position

GE Vernova is seeking a Logistics Teardown Technician to prepare circuit breakers for shipment to customers. The role assures breakers and switches are prepared for shipment on time as they are released from testing. The technician may assist with loading trucks and containers, operate lift trucks or hand trucks to move materials, and support continuous improvement in the work area. The role interfaces with engineers, technicians, production personnel, and others regarding assembly procedures and results. It requires mechanical aptitude, the ability to read a Bill of Material, and the ability to multitask. The technician follows APS standards and EHS rules, cares for equipment and supplies, promotes workplace safety and environmental improvements, cleans up at the end of the shift, and performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of shipping or logistics experience.
• Prior experience operating a forklift.
• Mechanically inclined.
• Ability to read a Bill of Material.
• Ability to multitask.
• Availability to work overtime, flexible shifts, and weekends as needed.

Responsibilities

• Prepare breakers and switches for shipment on time as they are released from testing.
• Assist with loading trucks and containers.
• Support the continuous improvement plan for the area.
• Interface with engineers, technicians, production personnel, and others regarding assembly procedures and results.
• Follow APS standards and all EHS rules.
• Ensure proper care in the use and maintenance of equipment and supplies, and promote continuous improvement of workplace safety and environmental practices.
• Operate lift trucks or hand trucks to move or hoist materials to proper areas.
• Clean up after the shift is over.
• Perform other duties as necessary or assigned.
