About The Position

The Logistics Supervisor ensures efficient daily turn-in and turn-out operations for EMS crews. The role manages the assignment, distribution, collection, inspection, preparation, and inventory of vehicles, equipment, and supplies; maintains relevant ePro schedule information; and communicates out-of-service equipment and supply needs to management. The supervisor also oversees vehicle parking, security, fueling, ambulance checks, and equipment cabinet seals, while ensuring employees comply with company policy.

Requirements

Valid New York State driver license.
Valid New York State EMT-B certification.
EMT experience.
Ability to properly operate the phone and/or other communications systems provided by the company.
Ability to properly operate the computer system and software suites provided by the company.
Ability to communicate professionally with clients, customers, and colleagues.

Responsibilities

Assign vehicles and equipment according to the ePro schedule.
Be available to incoming and outgoing crews during the shift.
Distribute equipment to crews and obtain sign-off upon receipt; collect returned equipment and obtain sign-off.
Plug in rechargeable equipment and prepare equipment for redistribution.
Perform daily equipment inventory; check and tag out-of-service equipment for testing or repair, and advise management of out-of-service equipment.
Issue verbal and written warnings when employees fail to comply with company policy.
Update equipment information in the ePro daily schedule worksheet.
Perform daily supply inventory and restock supplies according to inventory requirements, keeping supplies at or above par levels.
Advise management when supplies are needed.
Manage appropriate parking and securing of vehicles and fill vehicles with fuel.
Perform a NYS Part 800 check on ambulances.
Seal ambulance equipment cabinets and break cabinet seals monthly to inspect equipment.
Perform other duties as assigned.
