The Logistics Specialist is responsible for Receiving, Order Picking and Shipment of products to both internal and external customers. This position may require forklift operation, use of power hand tools and ability to lift up to 40 LBS. Attention to detail and the ability to accurately perform transactions using computers and standard warehouse software is required. This position works in a manufacturing environment throughout the workday. This environment may include exposure to noise, dust, fumes and vapor from coolant, coatings, adhesives, etc. Individuals must stand and walk for much of the workday. This position may require overtime and shift changes. Work activities involve combinations of walking, climbing, pushing, pulling, bending, lifting and carrying and standing for extended periods. Work requires the ability to see, hear and smell in order to detect problems. Job functions on and around mechanized equipment will present the need for alertness, accuracy and safety awareness. The work requires the ability to lift and carry up to 40 pounds. Position requires use of computer keyboard and mouse, and multi-line phone. Individuals must be physically able to operate a forklift.
