About The Position

AKHIRE is recruiting a hands-on Logistics Operations Manager to oversee daily terminal operations and ensure smooth, efficient service. The position is located in Soldotna, Alaska, pays $97,000–$110,000 per year, and is full-time, Monday through Friday, with overtime.

Requirements

• At least 1 year of related experience in terminal operations, warehousing, transportation, or a related field.
• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• Ability to pass a background and drug screening.
• Demonstrated leadership and operational management skills.
• Strong critical-thinking and decision-making abilities.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Outlook, Word, and Teams.
• Ability to prioritize tasks and manage daily operations with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Lead terminal operations, including freight receiving, loading, unloading, staging, dispatch, and delivery coordination.
• Supervise and direct approximately five drivers responsible for transporting and handling freight.
• Coordinate employee schedules, monitor attendance, and manage daily staffing needs.
• Promote efficient operations while maintaining productivity and customer-service standards.
• Track operational performance and identify opportunities to improve processes and efficiency.
• Work with Human Resources, Safety, Finance, Customer Service, and Sales to support business operations.
• Ensure safety and compliance with FMCSA, DOT, and OSHA requirements.
• Adhere to company policies and procedures.
