Apprenticeship Program: Logistics & Operations Associate
About The Position
TALKE USA is offering an entry-level opportunity through its Apprenticeship Program for people interested in beginning a career in logistics and transportation. This full-time, hourly role is intended for candidates who are new to the workforce, recent high school graduates, or transitioning careers. The associate gains hands-on experience supporting shipment scheduling, tracking, and daily logistics operations, with full on-the-job training and opportunities to learn logistics software and industry practices. The role is office-based, with computer work and phone communication, and offers flexible hours around school. Applications are considered for the Fall semester through June and for the Spring semester through November. Upon program completion, participants earn a Certificate in Logistics & Supply Chain Management through Lee College.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED.
- No previous experience is required; full training is provided.
- Reside within the Lee College – Baytown Campus district.
- Basic computer knowledge, including email and typing; Microsoft Office is preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Dependability and eagerness to develop new skills.
- Be at least 18 years old.
- Have a valid driver's license and be legally able to work in the U.S.
- Pass a drug screen, physical, and background check.

Responsibilities
- Assist with scheduling shipments and coordinating deliveries.
- Update tracking information in company systems.
- Communicate with drivers, team members, and customers to provide updates.
- Organize paperwork, including delivery confirmations and shipping documents.
- Support daily tasks to help ensure smooth logistics operations.
- Learn logistics software and develop industry knowledge through on-the-job training.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by management.
