About The Position

Honor Foods is seeking an experienced Logistics Manager to lead its logistics team and oversee efficient freight operations at its Kissimmee, Florida, on-site location. The role focuses on making effective freight decisions, building carrier partnerships, controlling transportation costs, and delivering strong operational results. The manager will coach and develop Logistics Coordinators, oversee freight planning and shipment coordination, monitor carrier performance, support negotiations, analyze costs and service metrics, resolve disruptions, improve workflows, and collaborate with internal departments. This is a hands-on leadership role balancing team development, performance, and profitability.

Requirements

• Proven logistics management experience, preferably in distribution, transportation, or freight operations.
• Experience leading and developing a logistics team.
• Strong background in carrier management, freight negotiations, and cost control.
• Experience managing logistics KPIs, freight rates, and service performance.
• Knowledge of shipping documentation, freight processes, and logistics systems.
• Strong Excel, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to make decisions, manage priorities, and hold teams accountable.
• Hands-on leadership skills and ability to balance people, performance, and profitability.

Responsibilities

• Coach, develop, and hold Logistics Coordinators accountable for performance.
• Oversee daily freight planning, shipment coordination, and carrier performance.
• Manage carrier relationships, support negotiations, and strengthen service agreements.
• Analyze freight rates and transportation costs, and identify opportunities to improve profitability.
• Track KPIs, service levels, shipping expenses, and operational performance.
• Resolve shipment delays, carrier issues, and service disruptions.
• Identify inefficiencies, streamline workflows, and implement solutions.
• Collaborate with internal departments to ensure shipments are accurate, efficient, and on schedule.
