About The Position

Honor Foods is seeking an experienced Logistics Manager to lead a logistics team and oversee freight operations. The role involves daily freight planning and shipment coordination, carrier relationship management, cost control, KPI tracking, problem resolution, and process improvement. The manager will work with internal departments to keep shipments accurate, efficient, and on schedule, while balancing team performance and profitability.

Requirements

Proven logistics management experience, preferably in distribution, transportation, or freight operations.
Experience leading and developing a logistics team.
Strong background in carrier management, freight negotiations, and cost control.
Experience managing logistics KPIs, freight rates, and service performance.
Knowledge of shipping documentation, freight processes, and logistics systems.
Strong Excel, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
Confidence making decisions, managing priorities, and holding teams accountable.
Hands-on leadership skills and the ability to balance people, performance, and profitability.

Responsibilities

Coach, develop, and hold Logistics Coordinators accountable for performance.
Oversee daily freight planning, shipment coordination, and carrier performance.
Manage carrier relationships, support negotiations, and strengthen service agreements.
Analyze freight rates and transportation costs and identify opportunities to improve profitability.
Track KPIs, service levels, shipping expenses, and operational performance.
Resolve shipment delays, carrier issues, and service disruptions.
Identify inefficiencies, streamline workflows, and implement solutions.
Partner with internal departments to keep shipments accurate, efficient, and on schedule.
