Peco Foods' Summer Internship Program gives college students hands-on experience in a fast-paced manufacturing and distribution environment. The Logistics Intern learns how a poultry processing facility and distribution center work together to move products from production to customers, while working alongside logistics professionals and contributing to operational projects. The internship provides exposure to warehousing, inventory management, order fulfillment, shipping, transportation coordination, operational reporting, and data analysis. The intern participates in a logistics or distribution improvement project, develops practical solutions, and presents recommendations to leadership. The role also offers coaching, feedback, and opportunities to build relationships with logistics and operations professionals. Assignments may involve varying shifts, refrigerated environments, extended periods of standing or walking, and other physically active tasks. The internship lasts 10–12 weeks, from late May through early August. Interns work closely with an assigned supervisor and follow company safety, food safety, and operational procedures.
