About The Position

The Logistics Coordinator is responsible for safely, efficiently, legally, and economically coordinating inbound goods. The role provides internal and external resources needed to meet delivery requirements and support the company’s production and financial goals. The position is located at kdc/one Columbus and is a full-time opportunity.

Requirements

• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent degree.
• Two to five years of previous experience in a logistics role.
• Knowledge of FDA Good Manufacturing Practices and OSHA safety requirements.
• Knowledge of SAP.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel and Word.
• Knowledge of purchasing concepts.
• Ability to sit for long periods in front of a computer, stand, walk, use hands to handle and feel, reach with hands or arms, stoop, crouch, talk, hear, push, and pull.

Responsibilities

• Review transportation requirements, transit times, and constraints for assigned business areas to ensure materials arrive on time according to established standards.
• Manage third-party carrier relationships, including negotiating and managing transportation costs, determining carrier selection and qualifications, and measuring carrier performance in cost and service.
• Schedule inbound shipments according to warehouse procedures, including bulk tank shipments; follow up with suppliers on timely pickups and deliveries; and expedite deliveries as needed to meet production schedules.
• Partner with the Warehouse team on customs documentation for imports and exports and coordinate dock appointments.
• Review and approve invoices for payment, work with Finance to resolve discrepancies and correct data, and ensure required costing information is provided to Finance according to standards.
• Work with buyers and planners to keep past-due items updated in SAP to support production planning.
• Assemble, address, and track freight claims from initiation through settlement according to established standards.
