Packaging Operator - All Shifts - kdc/one Columbus
About The Position
KDC is hiring Packaging Operators for its New Albany facility. The Packaging Operator contributes to production by assembling packaging systems, packing finished products to customer specifications and quality standards, preparing pallets for shipment, and maintaining safety and cleanliness in a climate-controlled production environment. Operators work as part of a supportive team and may help train others. The role is described as an entry-level opportunity; manufacturing experience is welcome but not required, and training is provided. The position is offered on first, second, and third shifts, each Monday through Friday: 6:30 a.m.–3:00 p.m., 2:30 p.m.–11:00 p.m., and 10:30 p.m.–7:00 a.m. Pay is $14.75–$16.75 per hour. Overtime may be available when production demands rise.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Ability to follow work instructions.
- Positive, team-focused attitude.
- Ability to lift up to 25 pounds.
- Ability to stand for extended periods.
Nice To Haves
- Previous manufacturing experience.
- Knowledge of FDA, GMP, and OSHA safety requirements.
Responsibilities
- Build and assemble containers, closures, and carton systems with precision.
- Pack finished products according to customer specifications and quality standards.
- Prepare pallets for shipment using electric pallet jacks and shrink-wrap machines.
- Check product quality to ensure products meet standards.
- Maintain safety and cleanliness in a climate-controlled production environment.
- Collaborate with the team and help train others.
