QA Inspector - 2nd Shift - kdc/one Columbus

About The Position

The QA Inspector ensures products meet quality standards for appearance, weight, and regulatory compliance. The role leads inspection activities, supports investigations, and contributes to continuous improvement across the production floor. The position is based at kdc/one Columbus and is scheduled Monday through Friday from 2:30 p.m. to 11:00 p.m., at $20.25 per hour.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED; college coursework is preferred.
At least 2 years of experience in a quality-related role, ideally in a manufacturing setting.
Proficient with measuring and testing devices.
Strong computer skills, especially Microsoft Office.
Excellent problem-solving and analytical abilities.
Solid understanding of FDA GMPs and OSHA safety standards.
Self-motivated with a strong work ethic.
Clear communication and strong interpersonal and organizational skills.
Able to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
Detail-oriented and proactive in identifying potential issues.

Nice To Haves

Familiarity with SAP.
College coursework.

Responsibilities

Evaluate product defects during inspections and recommend solutions.
Inform Quality Management of significant quality issues or trends.
Investigate failures and deviations, identify root causes, and implement corrective and preventive actions.
Collaborate with production teams to coordinate schedules and support new product launches.
Ensure staff receive appropriate training in operations, cGMPs, safety, and environmental practices.
Verify ongoing quality checks for appearance, weight, torque, and other specifications.
Audit production records and forms for accuracy and completeness.
Assist with daily quality checks and support the team as needed.
Maintain compliance with FDA GMP regulations and company quality systems.
Perform other duties as assigned.
