About The Position

AgState is seeking a Logistics Coordinator to manage feed transportation to farms and storage facilities. The position coordinates daily feed deliveries using company-owned and contracted haulers, with a focus on on-time service, cost efficiency, and compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory standards. Requirements

Must have a current Iowa driver's license.
Must be able to obtain a Class A CDL.
Maintain current knowledge of DOT regulations.

Responsibilities

Work safely and efficiently in accordance with AgState safety policies.
Support the team concept through positive work habits.
Plan, schedule, and coordinate feed deliveries with AgState drivers and contracted carriers using logistics software to maximize efficiency and minimize costs.
Manage feed delivery documentation, update logistics databases, and ensure compliance with feed safety and traceability regulations.
Prepare and maintain daily, weekly, and monthly logistics reports, including trailer sequencing and flushing of medicated feeds.
Coordinate multi-stop deliveries to optimize routes and reduce costs.
Communicate consistently with drivers, production teams, and internal sales staff.
Build and maintain positive working relationships with independent owner-operators and contract haulers.
Report unsafe conditions, practices, or company policy violations to management.
Stay current on Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations and transportation compliance.
Support logistics needs at other AgState locations as necessary.
Perform other duties as assigned.
