About The Position

The Logistics Coordinator handles customer shipments from planning through physical movement and delivery follow-up. The role supports domestic and international shipments and ensures compliance with import and export regulations. It involves coordinating with customers, carriers, warehouses, and port facilities; maintaining shipment records and reports; and addressing discrepancies and operational issues.

Requirements

Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
Good management and organizational skills.
Strong problem-solving skills.
At least one year of direct customer service experience.
At least one year of experience using logistics and supply chain management software.

Nice To Haves

Spanish language skills.
A college degree.
At least one year of Logistics or freight forwarding experience.
Experience with Cargo Wise 1.

Responsibilities

Provide exceptional customer service while building relationships with new and existing customers.
Manage all inquiries and requests promptly.
Arrange shipments by examining destination, route, rate, delivery time, and carrier dispatches.
Administer and create files with necessary booking information, including Purchase Order, Booking, Container Size, Temperature, and Sail Date.
Verify merchandise shipped by matching bills of lading, reconciling quantities, and identifying discrepancies.
Ensure the customer is updated on product discrepancies received, including damage, shortage, and overage.
Coordinate shipments with the warehouse and ensure cargo is traced, cleared, and released at port facilities.
Assist with communications to carriers when issues arise.
Manage several on-hand reports.
Compile and submit accurate, regular, and timely reports as requested.
Immediately report and document irregularities to supervisors.
Perform other tasks as necessary.
