Requirements

  • Must be able to read, count accurately, do simple math (add, subtract, divide, multiply) and write legibly.
  • Must be capable of standing and walking for extended periods.
  • Must be able to twist, stoop, squat, reach above shoulder level and crouch on a frequent basis.
  • Must be able to use proper lifting techniques.
  • The ability to follow directions with emphasis on safety is extremely important.
  • Must be able to handle stress caused in meeting deadlines with tight scheduling requirements.
  • Must be able to shift priorities easily.
  • Must be able to use hands and feet simultaneously and for repetitive movements.
  • Must have excellent work habits.
  • Must be familiar with warehouse systems.
  • 6 months or more of direct experience in a similar position.

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge of White glove moves a plus.
  • Fork-lift certification may be required within 6 months of employment.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure all vendor safety practices are adhered to, instruct others of proper safety practices and advise supervisor of abuses.
  • Work closely with the shift lead to ensure a smooth operation for the day and for the week. Discuss all inconsistencies to the plan with the supervisor.

  • Promote compliance in diligently following all company policies and regulations and performing the task at hand with outstanding integrity and pride.
  • Interact with our approved service providers in arranging local and Domestic truck shipments, meeting customer service standards.
  • Contribute to maintain good relationships with suppliers.
  • Meet compliance at all times to regulations internal and external in accordance with government regulations.
  • Understand department process flow, and look for best practices to improve operational efficiency and productivity.
  • Meet KPI standards in accordance with the Company’s procedures.
  • Maintain network communications, timely responses to emails and requests (internal and external).
  • Ability to multitask, problem solve and respond rapidly.
  • Escalate problems to Management when necessary.
  • Optimize all pick up and deliveries leveraging dedicated assets and local vendor resources to provide lowest cost model for service requested.
  • Utilize in-market knowledge of traffic patterns, industrial parks in the San Francisco Bay Area.
  • Ability to cost out local moves - need to understand costs and be able to provide pricing.
  • Knowledge of White glove moves is a plus.
