About The Position

The Prince William County Fire and Rescue System (FRS) is seeking a motivated, proactive Logistics Assistant to support countywide field operations. FRS Logistics provides sustainment support to the Fire and Rescue System, which includes the Department of Fire and Rescue and eight volunteer fire and rescue departments.

The Logistics Assistant tracks and monitors supplies and parts, manages inventory supply levels, coordinates with vendors to order materials, and processes inventory payments. The role may include obtaining quotes; ordering, issuing, and delivering supplies and products; requesting payment approval; providing customer service; and controlling inventory.

The position is scheduled Monday through Friday, 7:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., and is not eligible for telework. The starting salary range is $21.14–$32.17 per hour.

Requirements

• High school diploma or G.E.D.
• Valid driver's license.
• Virginia Criminal Information Network Certification.
• Notary Public Certification.

Nice To Haves

• At least 1 year of logistics experience.
• At least 1 year of delivery experience.
• Experience processing inventory payments and working with vendors.
• Fire and Rescue experience.
• Time management skills and the ability to work as a self-starter.
• Experience with Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Word, and Outlook.
• Keen attention to detail.
