About The Position
This is a contract, on-site position offering an excellent opportunity for an Associate-level physician to provide high-quality patient care in a collaborative clinical environment. In this role, you will deliver comprehensive hematology and oncology care, including diagnosis, treatment planning, and ongoing management of patients with blood disorders and cancer. You will work closely with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals dedicated to improving patient outcomes and advancing clinical excellence within the medical practice setting.
Requirements
- MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Hematology and Oncology
- Valid medical license in good standing
- Associate-level experience in Hematology Oncology
- Strong clinical diagnostic and treatment planning skills
- Experience managing chemotherapy and complex treatment regimens
- Proficiency with electronic medical records systems
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team
- Commitment to compassionate, patient-centered care
- Strong attention to detail and clinical documentation accuracy
- Willingness to work on-site in a contract capacity
- Must be board-certified or board-eligible
- BLS required
Responsibilities
- Diagnose and treat patients with hematologic and oncologic conditions
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans
- Order and interpret diagnostic tests, including blood work and imaging
- Administer and manage chemotherapy and other treatment regimens
- Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as needed
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including surgeons, radiologists, and pathologists
- Maintain accurate and timely electronic medical records
- Educate patients and families on diagnoses, treatment options, and prognosis
- Participate in tumor board meetings and clinical case reviews
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory and clinical standards
- Provide compassionate, patient-centered care throughout the treatment journey
- Stay current with advancements in hematology and oncology research and therapies
